After a short but brutal civil war, they made a fragile peace and formed the Kingdom of Avalon. Arthur Pendragon rules as High King and Mordred Pendragon is heir apparent as First Prince, jointly ruling House Pendragon. The rise of Avalon and civil war throws the world into chaos, but most nations come to some accord with the Reborn in the aftermath. Each region and country has its own unique relationship with the Kingdom of Avalon.
Who will you give your vow? Join the cause of Arthur as a member of Ordo Camelot. Join the cause of Mordred as a member of Ordo Morrigan. Or cast your lot with another Order or Lodge of Avalon. Ordo Viridis are the Green Knights of lore. The Urban Knights of Ordo DuFleuve worship The City, while the Free Knights of Ordo DuLac venerate Honor above all else. Among the Fallen Lodges, there are the dread necromancers of the Tombknockers and the mad reality crackers of the Phantom Edge. Each has their place and purpose in the great kingdom.
Basic character creation and unique diceless rules. Arthur's Legacy emphasizes storytelling and narrative play as a default. When conflicts or difficulties arise, resource management and bidding are used. The core system uses two basic attributes (Body and Soul) and an open set of Expertise (hobbies and careers). Knights receive two Drives (superhuman passion and magical fuel), three Rights (granted privileges and resources), and a set of Forces (thematic miracle working). Injuries and stress are handled through descriptive traits called Troubles.
Modular and easy to extend! Arthur's Legacy is designed as a modular system, allowing for plug & play add-ins and a variety of "house rules" (rules customizations). Different core attribute and skill systems can replace the main options. Other templates and expansions can be added onto the core sheet to create other character types. Easily modify Arthur's Legacy for a wide variety of styles and stories, adding in expansion rules as needed.
